Unaudited financials for nine months ending Dec 31, 2009

Shri.G.Nagamal Reddy, Managing Director & CEO, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd, Head Office, Thoothukudi in a release to the press has informed the unaudited financial results of the Bank for the nine months ended 31st December 2009 as follows:

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd's [TMB] net profit has marginally increased to Rs.119.42 crore from Rs.113.52 Crore on year on year basis. The Total Deposits have increased by 21.80% to Rs.10233.83 crore from 8402.26 Crore on year on year basis and the Advances have increased by 21.42% to Rs.7605.58 from Rs.6263.65 Crore. The Total Business of the Bank has increased by 21.63% at Rs.17839.41 Crore from Rs.14665.91 Crore. The Total Income increased by 13.49% at Rs.916.03 crore from Rs.807.15 crore. The Net interest Margin of the Bank stood at 3.44%.
