TMB Wins the Financial Express India's Best Bank Awards

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd, a leading Old Private sector bank in India has been awarded with the Financial Express-INDIA'S BEST BANKS-2008. The Ernst & Young is the knowledge partner to Financial Express in selecting the India's Best Banks-2008. The Financial Express, the countries leading business daily from the Express Group in its Survey on INDIA'S BEST BANKS-2008 has ranked to Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd as No: 2 among all the Old Private Sector Banks in India.

Our Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Shri. G. Nagamal Reddy has received the award from Shri Pranab Mukerjee, Honourable Union Minister of Finance, in the grand award function arranged by Financial Express on 25.07.2009 at Taj Mahal Palace & Towers in Mumbai.

The Financial Express has awarded the Ranks individually for the each category of Nationalized Banks, Old Private Sector Banks, New Private Sector Banks and Foreign Banks. The Segment-wise leader Banks have been selected by the Financial Express based on the following important parameters: Profitability, Efficiency, Credit Quality, Strength & Soundness and finally Growth.
